    Privacy Notice

    Last updated: October 9, 2026

    Summary

    This Privacy Notice explains what information Quorex collects, how we use it, when we share it, how long we keep it, and what choices and rights you have.

    • We collect the information needed to operate your account and provide the platform.
    • We do not sell your personal information.
    • Your information is stored and processed outside Canada, mainly in the United States. Where your information is stored
    • Analytics and Google Ads measurement are off unless you turn them on, and you can change that at any time under "Privacy choices".
    • You can request access, correction, deletion, or support by contacting us.

    Information We Collect

    Information you provide directly

    • Account details: such as your name, email address, and login credentials.
    • Case and matter information: facts, timelines, notes, uploads, forms, and other content you submit.
    • Support communications: when you contact us about the platform.
    • Program or eligibility information: if you apply for reduced-cost or special-access programs.

    Information collected automatically

    • Device and browser data: such as your approximate location (country, province and city, estimated from your IP address, only if you turn analytics on), browser type, device type, operating environment, and language settings.
    • Usage data: pages viewed, events, referral information, and approximate session-level activity.
    • Security and reliability logs: used to prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and maintain platform integrity.
    • Cookies and local storage: used for authentication, preferences, security, consent state, and platform functionality.

    How We Use Information

    We may use personal information to:

    • create and manage your account;
    • operate, deliver, and improve the platform and paid services;
    • generate documents, workflows, reminders, and research outputs you request;
    • process payments and manage subscriptions through payment providers;
    • provide support, respond to requests, and communicate service updates;
    • protect the platform, detect abuse, enforce our terms, and maintain security; and
    • comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, or contractual obligations.

    AI Processing of Your Content

    Some platform features — case triage, document analysis, and document drafting — are powered by third-party artificial-intelligence providers: currently Google (Gemini models, reached through Lovable's AI gateway), OpenAI and Anthropic. When you use those features, the content you submit for that feature (for example, your case description or the text of documents you upload for analysis) is sent to the provider to generate the result you requested. We send only what the feature needs. These providers are outside Canada; see Where your information is stored. AI-generated outputs are informational drafts, not legal advice, and can contain errors — always review them before relying on them.

    Cookies, Tracking, and Consent

    We use essential technologies required for login, security, session continuity, and site preferences. Every page also loads the site's fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details whenever a page opens, whatever you choose. The Court Locator page also loads its map and address search from OpenStreetMap, which receives your IP address, browser details and any address or postal code you search for, whatever you choose. Everything else is optional and stays off until you turn it on in the consent banner. There are two separate choices. If you turn neither on, you can still browse and use the whole site.

    Analytics

    • Google Analytics — usage statistics: the pages you view and the steps you take, such as which court or tribunal a triage pointed to, or that a document was prepared. These are linked to a random ID for your browser, to the case you are working on (by an internal case number), and, once you sign in, to your account number with us. The browser ID stays after you sign out, so Google can connect that browser's visits before and after to the same account number.
    • ipwho.is — estimates your approximate location (country, province and city) from your IP address. With each visit we keep the country, province, city and time zone, the page you arrived on, the site you came from, your browser language and device type, and a hash of your IP address (which can be matched back to the address), linked to your account if you are signed in.

    When you create an account or pay, our server also tells Google Analytics that a sign-up or a purchase happened, and the amount paid, linked to the analytics cookie in your browser. It does this only if analytics was on when you created the account or started the payment. Otherwise our server sends nothing about it to Google Analytics.

    The risk: because this site is about legal problems, what Google Analytics receives can show what kind of legal problem you have, for example criminal court, child protection or the Landlord and Tenant Board, linked to your account number once you sign in. Google may be able to link it to your Google account, and may use what it receives for its own purposes.

    Ad measurement (Google Ads)

    We advertise on Google. Ad measurement needs analytics on as well. If you turn it on:

    • What is collected: Google sets its ad cookies on this site (named _gcl_…), next to the Google Analytics cookie: one identifies your browser to Google Ads, and, if you arrived by clicking one of our Google ads, another holds the ad-click identifier. When you take a step we count, such as starting a checkout, signing up or paying, Google Analytics tells Google Ads, with the amount, and Google links that to the ad you clicked, if any. Google also receives your IP address, browser details, the pages you visit and the steps you take.
    • Who receives it: Google LLC, which may process it outside Canada, including in the United States, and may also use it for its own purposes under Google's own privacy policy.
    • Why: only to measure which of our ads lead people to the steps we count, such as checkouts, sign-ups and purchases, so we spend on the ones that help people find us.
    • What we don't do: we tell Google not to use your visit for remarketing or to personalize ads. We don't show ads on this site.
    • The risk: as with analytics, what Google receives can show what kind of legal problem you have. With ad measurement on, Google can also connect it to the ad you clicked and, through its own cookies, to your Google account, and use it for its own purposes.

    This is a Google Analytics advertising feature: Google Ads conversion measurement, with our Google Analytics and Google Ads accounts linked. It uses Google's cookies on this site (the Google Analytics cookie and Google's ad cookies, named _gcl_…) together, to connect an ad click to a later step we count, such as a checkout, sign-up or purchase. Your browser also sends this information to Google's ad servers (google.com and doubleclick.net); if your browser allows third-party cookies, Google's own cookies for those sites go with it.

    Changing or withdrawing your choice

    Use Privacy choices, at the bottom of most pages and here, to change or withdraw either choice at any time. If you turn analytics off, every tab you have open on this site reloads without Google's code, and we delete Google's cookies for this site from your browser. If you turn off only ad measurement, we delete Google's ad cookies (named _gcl_…), and Google Analytics keeps running. A page that is closing may still send one last update. A sign-up you made, or a checkout you started, while analytics was on is still reported to Google Analytics when it goes through, even if you turn analytics off in between: usually within 10 minutes, at most 3 days later. Information sent before you withdrew stays with those companies under their own retention rules. You can also manage Google's use of ad data at Google's Ads Settings, or block Google Analytics everywhere with Google's opt-out browser add-on.

    When We Share Information

    We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:

    • with vendors and service providers acting on our behalf, such as hosting, authentication, analytics, communications, or payment processors;
    • with Google, for ad measurement, only if you turn it on. Google may also use this information for its own purposes (see Cookies, Tracking, and Consent);
    • with professional advisors or auditors where reasonably necessary;
    • to comply with legal obligations, court orders, lawful requests, or to protect rights, safety, and security; and
    • in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards where required.

    Data Retention

    We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this notice, including to:

    • maintain your account and active matters;
    • provide paid services and support;
    • resolve disputes and enforce agreements;
    • comply with tax, accounting, legal, security, and regulatory obligations; and
    • retain backups and logs for limited operational and security purposes.

    Your Choices and Rights

    Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:

    • access, correct, or update your personal information;
    • request deletion of certain information, subject to legal exceptions;
    • withdraw consent for optional processing where consent is the basis;
    • request information about how your data is used; and
    • make a complaint to the appropriate privacy regulator.

    Security

    We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

    Where Your Information Is Stored and Processed

    Your information is stored and processed outside Canada. Our main database and file storage, which hold your account, your case information and the files you upload, are in the United States. Some of the service providers below process information in the United States or other countries.

    While your information is in another country, it is subject to that country's laws, and the courts, law enforcement and national security authorities of that country may be able to access it.

    The providers that receive personal information, and what they receive:

    • Supabase (on Amazon Web Services, United States): our database, file storage, sign-in and server functions. Holds your account, case information and uploaded files.
    • Google, OpenAI and Anthropic, with Google reached through Lovable's AI gateway: the AI features described above. They receive the content you submit to those features.
    • Resend: emails we send you, such as account and document emails. Receives your email address and the message.
    • Stripe: payments. Receives your payment details and billing information; we do not see or store your full card number.
    • Cloudflare: hosts this website and protects it from abuse. Handles your connection to the site, including your IP address.
    • ElevenLabs: speech-to-text, only if you use a voice feature. Receives the audio you record.
    • Clio: only if a law firm connects its Clio account and you send your package to that firm. The firm decides where its Clio account stores information.
    • Google Fonts: the site's typefaces, on every page, whatever you choose. Receives your IP address and browser details.
    • OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation, United Kingdom): the map and address search on the Court Locator page, whatever you choose. Receives your IP address, browser details and the address or postal code you search for.
    • Google Analytics and ipwho.is: only if you turn analytics on (see Cookies, Tracking, and Consent). ipwho.is receives your IP address to estimate your approximate location (country, province and city).
    • Google Ads: only if you also turn ad measurement on (see Cookies, Tracking, and Consent).

    Most providers handle your information under an agreement with us that limits what they may do with it to providing their service to us. The exceptions: Google Fonts, OpenStreetMap and ipwho.is are used under their public terms, which have no such limit; Stripe also uses payment information for its own fraud prevention and legal obligations; Clio works under the law firm's agreement, not ours; and Google may use what Google Analytics and, if you turn it on, Google Ads measurement receive for its own purposes, under its own privacy policy. For the providers that work under an agreement with us, we rely on it to provide a comparable level of protection while your information is with them, as Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act requires. For the exceptions above, we have no such agreement.

    We plan to move our main database to a Canadian region. Until we do, it stays in the United States, and we will update this notice when that changes.

    Questions about where your information is held: [email protected]. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

    Children’s Privacy

    The platform is not directed to children under the age of majority to create independent accounts except where a parent, guardian, or authorized adult is acting on their behalf and applicable law permits that use.

    Changes to This Notice

    We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version here and update the last-updated date.
